1100 – 1130 BMBC Members (53) arrive by coach.  To Club, met by Commodore and Sailing Captain. 
1130 – 1200 drinks/tea/coffee at Club allocate to boats for sea trip. 
1215 BMBC seagoing members to jetty – launch to allocated boats. 
1230 Sail. 
1330 Return. 
1345 Launch for BMBC seagoers to Club. 
1400 Buffet lunch for all members. 
Note 1 : Bar open all p.m. 
Note 2 : Volunteers required to take BMBC seagoers for short sea trip.

A Pursuit Rally where the slowest boats start first and the faster boats later.  The boat(s) in the lead at the end win.

Itinerary

7/7 Depart Conwy 1030 starting at Fairway Buoy 1200 onwards.  Return to Conwy on completion for pontoon BBQ at 1800 followed by Maritime Quiz in the Clubhouse at 2100.  Handicap bonuses for quiz answers.

A rally cruise to Cemaes Bay without the use of electronic nav aids (Radar, GPS, Laptops, Chart Plotters, Banned).  This one will be fun all the way.

A passage rally to Liverpool to coincide with the Tall Ships Weekend.  An opportunity to practice night navigation not to be missed.

18/7 Depart Conwy 0100 for overnight passage to Liverpool ETA 1000 berth in Liverpool Marina 1015 approx.  Saturday 19/7 lay day in Marina.
20/7 Depart Liverpool Marina 1130 approx for return passage to Conwy ETA fairway.

Open to all boats.  A series of minor tests of ingenuity, intelligence sailing skill and navigational foresight designed to be both fun and challenging for crews.

Captains Comments


1. Specific detailed arrangements for all programmed events will be posted on the club noticeboard at least 14 days prior to each event. Briefings for all events will be held in the club at 2130 on the day before it starts.

2. Although most events incorporate a competitive element this aspect of them is neither compulsory nor their main purpose. Events are designed to be fun and to provide an opportunity for members to cruise in company with others and, for those who are not familiar with the cruising area, to enjoy the added security of exploring the local area with those who are familiar with their navigational quirks.

3. All members who are planning to cruise outside of the programmed events are encouraged to post their plans on both the club noticeboard and the website so that others who are sailing in the same time period can possibly join in with your own plans.

Notes for Skippers

• All events are weather dependent but if adverse conditions are forecast, an alternative cruise or race will be planned wherever possible. Details will be discussed at the briefing.

• High water times are B.S.T.

• To safeguard the interests of members, it is the sole responsibility of every skipper to ensure that their boat has adequate insurance for events. Please remember that you the skipper, are responsible for ensuring that your boat has adequate safety equipment and it will be your decision as to whether you and your crew are competent to undertake the voyage in the prevailing weather conditions.

• It shall be the skippers sole responsibility to decide whether to start or continue an event.

Club Races

• Yachts participating in any Club races will adhere to the international Regulation for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea.

• Competing yachts may use their engines until the warning signal is made (5minute ‘gun’). Special rules regarding the use of engines during parts of some races e.g. the Swellies section of the Round Anglesey Race will be made known to competitors prior to the event.

• Handicaps will be based on the Portsmouth Yardstick Scheme.

Winter Social Programme 2007-8
All Year     Every Thursday evening: Fun Quiz and sandwiches, starts 9:00pm.

Laying Up Party. A night of dining and entertainment featuring a 60's - 70's night by Rob Neil.
Fancy dress is optional, but I am sure you still have some of those old clothes in the back of your wardrobe. A prize will be awarded for the best costume on the night.
Dining will be a splendid feast comprising a choice of main courses and desserts followed by a cheese course.
Tickets just £7.50 for the meal and entertainment. Book early to avoid disappointment as this is a popular event. To book your place email the webmaster or put your name on the board in the club.

Nov 10th dining

RNLI Coffee Morning from 10:00 - Sale of RNLI goods/raffle/tombola - entry 50 pence which includes a cup of tea or coffee.

R.N.L.I. Evening. Meet the local lifeboat crew. Entertainment and food. All proceeds to the R.N.L.I.

Dec 1st  

1:00pm
Santa arrives by club launch to the jetty and then goes up to his grotto in the club. There will also be a Christmas Fayre in the club selling Cakes, Produce and Gifts etc Refreshments will be available.

Colin Holmes Musical Quiz. Held on a Thursday night. See notice board/ website for details.

New Years Eve Celebrations
Buffet and party night with a Scottish theme. Prizes for the best outfit. Music and dancing.

£15 per head.

Play Your Cards Right: Games Evening. Prizes to be won. Jacobs Join - Bring a plate of food to share.

For most social events a list will go up on the club noticeboard to book meals. It is important to book as numbers can be limited according to space and type of meal/event. For example a sit down meal is limited to 44 persons. Booking can be made by phone via the club Stewardess.

Please keep an eye on the noticeboard or check the club website for further information regarding these events and any other proposed activities.

For those members who have not been to any social events, do come along and join in the fun, you will be most welcome.

Denotes Food available. Please sign up or arrange for someone to sign up for you, for meals on the booking sheet displayed on the club noticeboard. This usually goes up about two weeks before each event. We do not like to turn people away, so do book. Meal descriptions and prices will be displayed on the poster accompanying the booking sheet.
