Charts: Admiralty 1978, 1977 ; Imray C61 ; OS 115

Approaching Conwy from seaward the landfall mark is the Fairway Buoy, 53°17.965N 003° 55.556 W, spherical white with vertical red stripes, L. Fl 10s.

From the Fairway follow the buoys on the downloadable data sheet which can be downloaded by clicking on this link, updated 7th July 2010.

Once past the perch and in the river the main channel runs down the starboard side of the river and, passes between the two sections of the pontoon, as far as the town quay.

Please note the following:

Until familiar with the channel access is recommended only in daylight and between HW-3 and HW+2. If Conwy sands are covered there is enough water in the channel for boats drawing 6ft to enter. Beware strong tidal stream in the narrows at Deganwy. Within the harbour beware unlit channel markers and moorings which may be semi-submerged in the tide. There is a 10 mph (8 knot) speed limit in the river.

Navigational information is provide by the Conwy Harbour Office and up to date as at 15/10/07. It is given in good faith and is intended as a guide only. Due to the changing nature of the channel, buoys may be moved accordingly and the NWCC Ltd cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies in this information
